It takes a Village to support a mother
But now you are wondering WHERE to find that type of support….
Bangor Maine Prenatal and postpatum Exercise
❌ Resorting to google to find out which exercises are safe or not safe to do during pregnancy
❌ Feeling dismissed that your pain or instability is “just part of pregnancy or postpartum”
❌ Feeling alone in your desire to have strong + confident pregnancy, labor, and postpartum
You are DONE:
✅ Over 70% of pregnant women experience low back, pelvic girdle, or abdominal pain
✅ The ACOG recommends 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise per WEEK for pregnant women
✅ Over 50% of postpartum women say they did not get adequate counseling regarding exercise during their pregnancy
you are not alone:
You want to feel confident and strong in your body
but you just don’t know how to get there
What I have learned from pregnancy and labor
➡ Mothers are not fragile, but they are also not invincible
➡ Strength training does work when it comes to supporting the changing pregnant body
➡ Knowledge is power when it comes to knowing your own body and how to support it
➡Returning to fitness after baby is hard, but having accountability and support helps with success
Today my clients
✅ Move during pregnancy with strength and ease
✅ Feel supported during labor using the knowledge they learned
✅ Confidently lift their babies and toddlers, worry-free
✅ Feel strong and capable running and jumping after kids
✅ Feel powerful and challenged during training sessions
“Labor was great. The skills karen taught me were in my mind whe whole time and helped so much throughout the entire day.”
and now it’s your turn
“I gave birth 8 weeks ago, squatted 105x5 today. thanks karen.”
“I always leave sessions feeling more confident, strong, and empowered in the season more and more ready for the next step of bringing this little guy into the world”
My process
-
Educate
I offer labor support and birth education during training sessions to take the guesswork and fear out of exercising during pregnancy. I am trained to develop a personalized workout for you to support your changing pregnant body.
-
support
We need support during the season that is pregnancy and postpartum. Through fitness you can develop confidence for labor in learning how to use movement as coping techniques and how to support labor through opening the pelvis.
-
build strength
Postpartum is forever. I offer guidance on how to re-enter fitness after baby and help you find your new normal. Feel good in your body again using strength and mobility.
Fitness and Self Care does not end when you become a mother.
